What is good about banana? I can say bananas are not only rich in fibre and vitamins, but are Fat free and Cholesterol free.
It is also good for pregnant women because it helps meet their young baby's development.

Some doctors explained the reasons why you should add banana to your diet, it because;

1: Rich In Potassium

Bananas are rich in potassium. One medium-sized banana contains 422 milligrams of potassium.
Potassium is important because it helps maintain fluid levels in the body and also it regulates the movement of nutrients and waste products in and out of the cell.
This mineral called potassium can reduce the risk of kidney stones. Healthy kidneys make sure that the right amount of potassium is kept in the body system.
I can also tell you that potassium helps the muscles to contract and nerve cells to respond and also it keeps the heart beating regularly and shorten the effect of sodium on blood pressure.

2: Aid Digestion And Beat Gastrointestinal Issues

Banana helps you beat gastrointestinal issues E.g heart burn, constipation and stomach ulcers. Newly riped banana contain starch that does not digest in the small intestine and it is able to pass into large intestine.
Medium banana can provide about 12% of daily Fibre needs. It was recommended that a daily dietary fibre intake of 20g for women and 26g for men.
We have insoluble and soluble fibres. These fibres are playing a very important role in one's life or health.

4: Manganese (MN)

Manganese in banana is good for the skin. It helps the body make collagen and protect the skin from radical damage. It helps activate enzymes in metabolism and plays a role in a variety of chemical process in the body.
Moreover, manganese is an essential trace mineral essential for bone formation and bone health. one medium size banana produce approximately 13% of daily manganese needs.

5: Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is also know as pyridoxine which allows the body to use and store energy from protein and carbs in food.
Women under 50 should be taking between 2.5 to 25mg of vitamin B6 per day. Extreme intake of Vitamin B6 can lead to nerve damage and other conditions. Advice for every individual is to avoid taking over 100mg of vitamin B6 a day.
In general, vitamin B6 helps the body to produce red blood cells, remove unwanted chemicals from the liver and kidney, metabolise amino acids and lastly maintain a healthy nervous system.
